ITALY: Armani Turnover Up 20 Per Cent In 2000
Leading Italian fashion house Armani today reported an impressive set of financial results for 2000 and predicted more strong growth this year, according to a story in the Evening Standard. Demonstrating that the rich and famous have yet to be affected by global economic slowdown, turnover last year hit two trillion lira ($921m), a 20 per cent increase on 1999. Operating profits rose to 374bn lira.
