Japan’s top department store Sogo & Seibu Co is to open fast-fashion areas dedicated to Zara and other fast fashion leaders.
The Seven & i Holdings Co unit hopes to attract young consumers amid a continuing slump in Japan’s department store industry. The launch includes four regional and suburban department stores this autumn.
It was announced last month that Zara will extend its e-commerce store to South Korea and Japan next year.
