Denim trade show Kingpins is preparing to bring its physical New York show back for the winter – but has cancelled its next Amsterdam event.

The trade show will take place from 6-7 December at Pier 36. “What was once a place that seems like one shoe size too big, is now in pandemic times the perfect fit with massive space for people to feel safe and practice social distancing,” organisers say.

Kingpins’ Amsterdam October show, however, is being cancelled. The trade show had planned to kick off physical shows with China in September, Amsterdam in October and New York City in late fall of 2021.

“This was not an easy decision because we want to do the show more than words can explain, but we just feel it’s not the right time for Kingpins to run. Instead, we will do our Kingpins24 safely from our homes,” it adds.

Kingpins24, the online edition of denim trade show Kingpins, ran its latest show last month, with presentations from The Lycra Company, Cone Denim, Saitex and Orta.
