Trade show organiser Messe Frankfurt is expanding its portfolio of industry events with LeatherWorld Paris, adding to its two annual shows in the city with a new dedicated area solely for the leather sector.
Due to take place on 17-20 September in Le Bourget, the show will run alongside Texworld, Apparel Sourcing, Shawls & Scarves, Texworld Denim and Avantex Paris. It follows last year’s roll-out of Texworld Denim.

“Leatherworld Paris is a new event with the Messe Frankfurt France hallmark. In keeping with our policy of always being attuned to the market, we observed that many visitors were aware that countries exhibiting at Apparel Sourcing Paris and Texworld Paris also have a tremendous pool of firms that produce and supply leather and leather goods,” explains Michael Scherpe, president of Messe Frankfurt France.
Meanwhile, representatives from Pakistan, India, and China had expressed a wish to be able to include exhibitors from the leather industry, according to Scherpe, who notes Messe Frankfurt has companies at every show who offer leather goods.
“Messe Frankfurt is already the successful organiser of Leatherworld trade fair in Dubai and a Paris version, more oriented towards materials and finished products, could prove to be a very timely response,” he said.
