UK based casual clothing retailer Fat Face has named Oasis and Warehouse boss Liz Evans as its new chief executive, succeeding Anthony Thompson who is leaving the business in January after a nine-year tenure.

Evans has served as CEO of Oasis and Warehouse since 2013, having joined the former in 2010 as managing director. She began her career at Marks & Spencer working in retail, womenswear and international roles and became head of selling for womenswear and the Per Una brand.

“She not only brings substantial experience of the UK and international clothing market, but understands our customers,” says Lord Rose, chairman of Fat Face. “Liz also joins at a positive time for the Fat Face brand as trading is resilient and we are seeing the benefit of key infrastructure investment.”

The retailer recently hailed a strong year after booking higher sales and earnings, boosted by investment in areas including in e-commerce.

The appointment is understood to have led to the promotion of Hash Ladha as Oasis and Warehouse CEO. Ladha is a former Asos and New Look director who has served as chief operating officer of both Oasis and Warehouse since 2015.
