Testing body the Oeko-Tex Association has issued its annual update of test criteria and limit values for product certification in line with Oeko-Tex Standard 100.

After a three-month transition period, the new regulations will come into force on 1 April for all Oeko-Tex textile product certifications.

Changes have been made to the test parameters for perfluorinated compounds, organotin compounds, softeners/phthalates, pesticides, chlorinated phenols, chlorinated benzenes and toluenes, colourants classified as carcinogenic and which are thus prohibited, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, alkylphenols and alkylphenol ethoxylates, as well as flame-retardant substances.

And a new test parameter for ‘UV stabilisers in included in Oeko-Tex product class IV.
