PAKISTAN: Garment Exports Up 60 Per Cent On EU Concessions
Trade chiefs in Pakistan on Wednesday released figures showing the value of non-quota textile exports to Europe surged almost 60 per cent in the first six months of this year compared to the same period of 2001. Officials from the Export Promotion Bureau said the value of non-quota exports to Europe soared 58 per cent to $94 million from $59.5m in 2001 as a result of duty-free incentives provided by the European Commission.
