PAKISTAN: Leather Exports Exceed Target In First Seven Months
The leather sector has exceeded its target of exports set for the first seven months of this fiscal year, sources said. The Ministry of Commerce had projected leather exports at $384m for July-January, 2000-2001, while the actual exports amounted to $386.1m, slightly above target. In seven months, leather exports totalled $118.1m, against the target of $115m while leather manufacturers exports stood at $268m, against the target of $269m.
