PAKISTAN: Textile Export Orders Finally On The Up
Senior Pakistan textile industry officials said today orders from overseas buyers were on the up after the devastating slump in the wake of the terrorist attacks in the US and subsequent war in neighbouring Afghanistan.
The chairman of the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association, Nadeem Maqbool, said orders from the US and the EU were picking up again after a slide which saw scores of firms close and thousands of workers lose their jobs.
