
Value clothing retailer Primark has confirmed to just-style former Zara product boss, Paula Dumont López, is to join the company as head of its womenswear division.
Due to join Primark next week, Dumont López will lead the buying, merchandising and design of the retailer’s womenswear business.
A Primark spokesperson said: “We are pleased to confirm that Paula Dumont Lopez has been appointed to the position of trading director of Primark and will join the company on 12 January 2018.
“Paula has a wealth of international fashion experience, and joins from Esprit where she was senior vice president and head of women’s clothing.”
Prior to her tenure at the Hong Kong-listed fashion brand, Dumont Lopez spent ten years at Spanish clothing giant Inditex where she served in several roles, including head of product at Zara Basic.
She was previously set to join UK fashion brand New Look as chief creative officer, but the move was abandoned following the departure of the company’s CEO Anders Kristiansen in September.
