After three years of joint development efforts, Pyratex has successfully created fabrics using Circ’s recycled polyester and lyocell fibres.

The company said it is currently in the process of bulk production for select clients, with market launches anticipated soon.

Pyratex is gearing up to increase volumes as Circ is set to open commercial-scale textile-to-textile recycling facility in France. It aims to offer these fibres as viable alternatives to the conventionally used polyester and lyocell.

Pyratex CEO Regina Polanco said: “Circ’s technology gives us what the industry desperately needs: true recycled fibres of fashion’s most widely used textiles.

“Through this partnership, we can integrate these solutions directly into our textile formulas delivering the quality, performance, and design flexibility that brands need while reducing impact at scale.”

The collaboration underscores both companies’ commitment to enabling the fashion industry’s shift from virgin fibres to circular alternatives without compromising on aesthetics or functionality.

Circ and Pyratex will be demonstrating their collaborative efforts during an upcoming Textile Exchange field trip in Portugal on 17 October.

During this event, brands will have the opportunity to witness scaled circular fibre production firsthand and discuss how to integrate these next-generation materials into their future collections.

Circ CEO Peter Majeranowski said: “Pyratex has built a reputation for turning bold ideas into real, scalable fabric solutions. Their early partnership and continued investment in Circ fibres reflects a deeper shift as long-term commitments are taking shape to support circularity at industrial scale. We’re working together to build a supply chain that can support circularity where it matters most: at scale.”

Earlier this year, Circ reached a partnership with polyester producer Selenis to process and polymerise thousands of metric tonnes of Circ Polyester at an industrial scale.
