SRI LANKA: Korean Ceylon Footwear’s Future In Doubt
By Penny Leese The future structure of Korea Ceylon Footwear Manufacturing Co, a shoe factory in Sri Lanka, is now in question, according to Børsen, the Danish pink paper. The factory is owned by Aarhus Oliefabrik of Denmark, which has put 20m Danish kroner ($2.4m; £1.6m) into the factory. It made a loss of 7.5m kroner ($905,000; £615,000) in the first half of this year, as compared to a loss of 2.6m kroner ($314,000; £213,000) in the first half of last year.
