The agreement, signed on 25 November 2025, forms the basis for a long-term partnership that will see the summit hosted in Coimbatore every alternate year starting from 2026.
The first event is scheduled for 26–27 November 2026 at CODISSIA, Coimbatore.

The initiative aims to establish a central platform for technical and expert knowledge exchange within the technical textiles sector, reflecting the segment’s projected expansion.
As part of the arrangement, Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India will organise five editions of the summit in Tamil Nadu over the coming decades.

By GlobalDataThe first two editions will follow a confex format before transitioning into a full-scale trade fair from the third edition onwards. With this move, the globally recognised Techtextil brand will be introduced to one of India’s largest textile hubs.
The summit is intended to involve various stakeholders including MSMEs, research institutions, universities and agencies such as SIDCO, TIDCO, TANSIDCO, SITRA, PSG Tech and Anna University.
Organisers anticipate that policy-level support from Tamil Nadu will assist in strengthening links between industry and academia while attracting international participants.

Techtextil India and its summit are part of Messe Frankfurt’s Texpertise Network which spans the entire textile value chain and connects more than 500,000 industry participants globally through trade fairs and related platforms.
Messe Frankfurt currently runs over 60 international textile trade fairs across 13 countries.
