The Techtextil Forum will return to the Techtextil and Texprocess technology trade shows this year, with sustainability one of the key themes.

The two shows, which will be sharing an exhibition hall for the first time, will take place in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, from 14-17 May 2019.

Texprocess showcases suppliers at all stages in textile and apparel processing, including product preparation, finishing, logistics, internal material flow, sewing solutions, digital printing, functional apparel textiles, as well as production lines for clothing and shoes. Techtextil is for suppliers of woven, laid web, braided and knitted fabrics, coated textiles, and nonwovens, as well as selected suppliers of textile machines.

The Techtextil Forum, organisers say, will offer visitors “comprehensive insights” into the latest developments in the industry. The Techtextil Forum is free of charge and available to all trade visitors at the fair in Hall 4.1.

The first day of the fair (14 May) will start with the topic of sustainability. The first panel in the Techtextil Forum will feature contributions by TWD Fibres on textile recycling, by the Hohenstein Institutes on traceability of bio-cotton, and by Centexbel on bio-based coated textiles. Contributions will follow on the subject of filtration with contributions from the Textile Research Institute of Saxony, Smartpolymer, Wespun India, SWM International and Argaman Technologies.

Sustainability will also be in the forefront of the morning panel on the last day of the fair (17 May), supported and designed by the Dornbirn GFC (Global Fibre Congress) and chaired by Friedrich Weninger, general manager of the Austrian Fibre Institute.
