The upcoming Textile Forum is expanding to provide more sourcing options for designers looking for luxury fabrics – with organisers saying business continues as usual, irrespective of currency fluctuations and uncertainty over the post-Brexit future.

“Fabric suppliers may well have taken a hit because of the poor exchange rate, but they are still investing in their stock collections and offering even more choice of qualities for autumn/winter 2017/8 and spring 2016,” says Linda Laderman, the show’s co-founder and organiser.

Top British wools and tweeds, laces and silks, fine cottons and leathers, buttons, linings and labels are all promised at the fair, which takes place from 12-13 October 2016.

Moe than 80 collections will be presented, with last year’s first-timers Hantex returning with a range of jersey, baby cord, canvas and batiks alongside top silk companies James Hare, Bennett Silks, Henry Bertrand and Pongees; fancy fabric specialists Laurent Garigue; bridalwear experts Michael’s Bridalwear and Platinum Bridal Fabrics; and cotton prints from Anbo among others.

This autumn’s Textile Forum will present stock and forward-order fabrics over two floors at its central London venue One Marylebone from 12-13 October 2016. Click here for a full list of exhibitors and to register for the show.
