“We know that customer lifestyles and their demands for fashion is developing at a pace and these changes impact the nature of traditional sourcing,” she says.

“Retailers need to be nimble in their response to changing desires, they will need to analyse customer behaviour, engage in new ways more relevant to their lifestyles to succeed in the marketplace. The supply chain will no longer be forecast-led, and will instead become demand-driven, which means businesses need to review their people talent, their structures and ways of working.”

Fashion SVP will be held at London’s Olympia on 16-17 January 2018. The show will host over 100 fashion and accessory manufacturers from 16 European and Mediterranean countries, covering a range production capacities and specialisms.

Sourcing briefing seminars will also bring together leading fashion industry experts presenting sessions on current issues, while the ‘Fashion Station’ will see industry professionals give advice on topics including ethical sourcing, legal protection of a brand, careers in the fashion industry, and advice on how to get start-up funding.
