US upscale denim brand True Religion has named former American Apparel boss Chelsea Grayson as its interim CEO following John Ermatinger’s decision to retire.
An member of True Religion’s board for the past year, Grayson will continue to serve on the board but will step down as chair of the audit committee.
“Chelsea has been instrumental in helping True Religion evolve the brand,” says Gene Davis, chair of the board. “We are fortunate to have someone of Chelsea’s calibre and experience step up to lead the company as we continue to innovate our products and customer experience.”
Before joining the board of directors of True Religion last year, Grayson was the CEO and a board member of American Apparel.
True Religion emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection following negotiations with its key stakeholders in October 2017.
