UK: Dewhirst Taken Private In £112.7m Buyout
Clothing manufacturer Dewhirst Group Plc, one of the suppliers to Marks and Spencer, is to be taken private in a buy-out led by members of the Dewhirst family. Independent directors of the East Yorkshire group, which makes ladies', men's and children's clothes and generates 86 per cent of its turnover from sales to M&S, have recommended an 85p-a-share offer. It values the buy-out at £112.7m.
