LaCrosse Footwear has won a new US$8.6m delivery order from the US Army for its Danner Combat Hiker boot.
The order should be delivered to US troops in Afghanistan within 90 days, the US company said.
“The United States Army’s request for more of our Combat Hiker testifies to the boot’s proven performance in the field,” said Joseph Schneider, company president and CEO.
“In recent years, we’ve been working closely with the US Army to develop and provide footwear for extended wear and high performance in harsh mountain terrain and challenging weather conditions.”
