USA: Manufactured Fiber Production To Rise To 37.8m Tons By 2003
Global mill fiber consumption of manufactured fibers is forecast to increase 5.4 per cent per year to 37.8 million metric tons in 2003, with manufactured fibers continuing to expand their market share at the expense of natural fibers. Manufactured fiber production will rise at a slower rate of 5.1 per cent per year as overstocked inventories are sold down.
