USA: Ross Stores Q4 Profit Up 18% On Strong Sales
Off-price branded apparel chain Ross Stores Inc on Wednesday posted an 18 per cent jump in fourth quarter net profit on the back of higher sales. The California-based operator of more than 500 stores reported net income of $58.7 million, or 74 cents per share, from $50m, or 62 cents per share, in the year-ago period. Sales rose 14 per cent to $965m from last year while same-store sales rose three per cent.
