NCTO president Kim Glas said she approves of White for the role of chief textiles and apparel negotiator due to her extensive background in trade policy and track record in shaping legislative frameworks.
White most recently worked as an International Trade Policy Advisor on the House Ways and Means Committee, and before that, at the US Department of Commerce and the White House.

USTR’s Office of Textiles is responsible for international trade negotiations concerning textile and apparel products at the multilateral, regional and bilateral levels, with a focus on opening foreign markets to US domestic producers.
