US apparel giant VF Corp has launched a new business hub in London in a move it says is designed to strengthen trade relationships and fuel company growth in the UK market.

The group, which counts industry heavyweights such as The North Face, Timberland, Vans and Wrangler among its portfolio of about 25 brands, has signed a ten-year lease for the Axtell Soho building in the Soho area of central London. The space, VF says, will become an important business hub for VF and its portfolio of brands in London and Europe.

“We would like to bring the most advanced and innovative expression of our brands to the heart of London to strengthen trade relationships and fuel our growth in the UK market,” says Martino Scabbia Guerrini, VF EMEA group president. “The close interaction between this facility and our VF brand stores in Regent Street, Oxford Street and Carnaby Street will also create the opportunity to amplify and evolve the engagement with consumers.”

The 15,000 sq ft building will accommodate VF brands, product presentation and show-rooms, marketers, digital and design spaces. The opening is planned for late Spring 2019.
