The Product Impact Calculator allows organisations to connect information about materials, suppliers, and finished products within a single system.
This integration helps companies identify where emissions are concentrated, model different decarbonisation scenarios, and establish priorities for action.
Worldly’s approach relies on primary data from materials and suppliers, which differs from spend-based models and traditional life cycle assessments by offering more specific calculations at scale.
Since its introduction, brands have used the Product Impact Calculator to analyse Scope 3 emissions for more than 400,000 products.

The Product Impact Calculator integrates with Worldly’s wider data infrastructure, including Cascale’s Higg Materials Sustainability Index, Higg Product Module, and Higg Facility Environmental Module.
This ensures that primary data transfers from suppliers through to final product impact assessments.
The latest update provides further detail by factoring in category-specific packaging needs, differences in assembly processes, and real-world use-phase behaviours such as washing or charging frequency.
Newly included footwear models comply with the European Commission’s Product Environmental Footprint Category Rules (PEFCR), assisting brands as they prepare for regulations like the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and Digital Product Passport (DPP).
The tool also produces scores and labels required for France’s Environmental Cost labelling system, supporting compliance with several corporate and product-level reporting frameworks.
Worldly CEO Scott Raskin said:“Scope 3 used to be a guessing game. With this expansion, brands no longer have to choose between speed and accuracy, they can have both. The Product Impact Calculator gives companies the clarity they need to design better products, run smarter supply chains, report more accurately, and move forward strategically and responsibly.”
In December last year, Worldly released a series of updates aimed at improving the collection and use of primary data for brands and suppliers.
