Fast fashion chain Zara, which is owned by Spanish clothing giant Inditex, has revealed plans to launch its first capsule collection of customisable denim later this month.

The new service, which will be available in select markets from 27 March, allows customers to ask to have a word with up to 11 characters embroidered onto any of nine different denim products within the brand’s TRF range, which includes jeans and denim skirts, jackets and shorts.

Shoppers can choose from a number of garment locations for their word of choice, a range of fonts and six different colours of embroidery thread.

The customised garments will be delivered immediately to the three stores in which the service is due to be rolled out, and online orders will be dispatched in keeping with the brand’s customary delivery times.

Zara says that because the items are customised pieces, exchanges or returns are not permitted.

The range will be available for purchase online in Spain, the UK, the Netherlands and Italy and in the Zara stores on Vittorio Emanuele (Milan, Italy), Kalverstraat (Amsterdam, Netherlands) and Plaza Cataluña (Barcelona, Spain).
