Switzerland based zipper and button manufacturer Riri Group is investing in its supply chain and  expanding its production capacity with two acquisitions.

The first involves the acquisition of 100% of shares in MR Plating SA, a Swiss company specialising in the galvanic treatment of metals, which is already a subsidiary of the group. With a three-year investment plan, Riri says it plans to substantially increasing its production capacity.

And in line with ambitions to further improve its quality and service, the group has bought SPM Pressofusione Srl, a company based in Palazzolo Sull’Oglio in northern Italy, which specialises in Zamak die-casting.

Riri, which produces for a number of major fashion, accessory and denim brands, says SPM will become the “centre of excellence” for the group with regard to mould production and all its die-casting work.

The Riri Group has three brands: Riri pre-cut zips made of metal and die-cast in plastic and zinc; Meras nylon and cut metal zippers; and Cobrax rivets and buttons.
