The CSP, which began in 2023, provides grants of up to $250,000 per project for scalable decarbonisation initiatives within the fashion sector.
The revised approach will prioritise supplier-led applications, requiring proposed technologies to be ready for pilot implementation with active supplier involvement.
Aii will work with lead funders and international partners to inform suppliers about funding opportunities, aiming to increase participation from those prepared to trial and adopt new solutions.
The application and review process has also been simplified, with standardised guidelines introduced to facilitate submissions.
Aii climate portfolio director Pauline Op de Beeck said: “Refocusing the CSP Grant Programme to align with a core industry challenge helps ensure that every grant moves us closer to supporting the sector’s transition to electrification. This evolution strengthens the programme’s ability to identify, test, and scale the most promising solutions in partnership with suppliers.”
The CSP will continue to pilot new decarbonisation technologies and develop a pipeline of solutions for Aii’s Deployment Gap Grant (DGG) programme.
The DGG offers $1.25m in funding and aims to speed up the adoption of proven solutions by tapping co-funding from brands across shared suppliers.
Applications for the 2026 CSP Grants will be accepted from 1 April to 15 May and from 1 October to 13 November.
The application periods for the 2026 Deployment Gap Grants are scheduled for 2 February to 13 March and 1 July to 1 August.
