The eighth iteration of the The İstanbul Fashion Connection (IFCO) trade fair is scheduled to take place from 20 to 22 August.

The event will occupy 30,000m2 of space with expectations of hosting over 300 exhibitors and attracting more than 30,000 visitors from over 150 countries.

The event, organised by the Istanbul Apparel Exporters’ Association (İHKİB) through its subsidiary İTKİB Fairs, focuses on digital and green transformation through initiatives like the METAMORPHOSIS under the EU’s IPA-II programme.

In response to the EU’s stringent sustainability regulations, including CO₂ footprint standards, Türkiye's textile sector is investing in environmentally friendly production methods.

Practices such as organic cotton farming, use of recycled materials, and water conservation technologies are gaining traction within the industry, says IFCO.

Furthermore, Turkish firms are prioritising digitalisation and technological advancements to improve their market position.

Innovations such as smart textiles, AI-driven production systems, and automation are contributing to cost reductions and expedited manufacturing processes.

Highlights of the August edition

The upcoming IFCO 2025 will feature presentations by industry specialists, including trend analysts from WGSN, who will share insights on macro trends for the spring/summer 2026 season.

Additionally, over 20 Turkish designers will showcase their latest collections to international buyers, highlighting the creative diversity and innovation within Türkiye's fashion industry.

The event will also include runway shows that display collections emblematic of the evolving global fashion landscape.

The previous IFCO event in February set a record with participation from 513 exhibitors and attendance by 33,788 trade visitors from over 150 countries across eight fully occupied halls.

The February event was noted for its blend of design excellence, innovation strength, and strategic business networking opportunities. This concept is set to continue and expand in the August edition.
