Following an initial announcement in November last year, the full roll-out aims to accelerate M&S’s online sales growth in the region while substantially reducing logistics costs.

Earlier this month, the service was trialled in Poland, where M&S reported a 22% increase in customer demand and a 97% improvement in conversion rate.

On the back of these results, the ZEOS partnership has been extended to some of M&S’s largest European online markets, including France, the Netherlands, Germany, and Spain.

By leveraging ZEOS’s fulfilment network and a unified stock pool, M&S stated it has achieved faster delivery times while cutting delivery costs by as much as 58%.

Returns processes have also been streamlined, with return turnaround reduced from up to 35 days to eight days, improving product availability.

M&S International managing director Mark Lemming said: “We have a clear ambition to grow our International business by bringing the best of M&S to more customers around the world. As demand for our Fashion products grow across Europe, it's vital that we offer a seamless online shopping experience that matches the quality of our product.

“By partnering with ZEOS, we're able to improve speed, availability and service for customers, while creating a more efficient and scalable platform to support our future growth in Europe.”

According to M&S, these operational changes are part of its broader strategy to build a scalable, capital-light international business through strategic partnerships and simplified processes.

The company said that this approach will support continued international growth, particularly as demand for its fashion products remains strong.

M&S first collaborated with Zalando Fulfilment Solutions (ZFS) in 2022, using the service to fulfil marketplace orders placed through Zalando, About You, and Amazon.

The latest partnership with ZEOS marks a further step in consolidating its logistics across the region by focusing on its own direct-to-consumer channel.
