Shein's programme combines compliance oversight with operational support tools intended to help suppliers improve production and workplace standards.

According to Shein, more than 200 supplier factories have undergone renovations covering a combined 518,000 m², affecting about 33,600 workers. The sites were redesigned using its model factory template, which focuses on layout optimisation, streamlined material flows and adaptable production spaces.

Support is also delivered through the company’s Centre of Innovation for Garment Manufacturing, a 58,450 m² research, development and training facility. In 2025, it held around 300 technical and vocational training sessions for more than 13,000 participants, covering operational processes, quality management and innovative garment manufacturing technologies.

The centre also developed 10 new production tools during the year, bringing the total introduced to more than 180. One example is a sewing attachment designed to move beads aside during stitching to reduce damage and improve efficiency when producing embellished garments.

The programme includes worker-focused initiatives such as financial aid and childcare services. A hardship support scheme distributed more than $800,000 in 2025 to 816 families, with over 37,000 workers accessing the application system.

Shein also reports that 30 childcare centres were operating across supplier communities by the end of 2025, serving more than 1,000 children. The facilities are intended to help working parents manage childcare needs while remaining close to their workplaces.

Shein was in Europe in January to discuss shared sustainability priorities with an EU commissioner ahead of its appearance in EU parliament later that month.
