The Quebec-based company has implemented several modules from DeSL, including Line Planning, Workspaces, Fast Product Management, Tech Packs, Fast Tech Pack Management, POM Templates, an Adobe Illustrator plug-in, Critical Path/Request for Development, and Internal Discussion Threads.

These components aim to consolidate design, development, and production activities into a unified digital system.

Spark Factory Operations & Product Development vice president Caroline Sauve said: “We wanted to get out of the black hole we were in related to technology. DeSL gives us one consolidated place where everyone can see the products, their status, and all the information we need to make faster, smarter decisions.”

Before this implementation, Spark Factory relied on spreadsheets and email for its workflow management.

This approach led to fragmented processes and data inconsistencies across departments, making collaboration and visibility into project status difficult.

The transition to DeSL’s integrated platform provides Spark Factory with centralised product data and automated workflows that streamline communication between teams.

Real-time updates on product status and consolidated development milestones are now available to all team members.

The company also benefits from DeSL’s Adobe Illustrator plug-in, which connects the design process with the PLM platform.

This feature reduces the need for duplicate data entry and keeps artwork aligned throughout development stages.

Additionally, DeSL’s recently introduced AI-powered tools assist users by automating routine tasks, improving data accuracy, and delivering insights into workflow efficiency.

DeSL specialises in digital transformation software for organisations in the fashion, apparel and textile industries.

DeSL CEO Colin Marks said: “Spark Factory’s adoption of DeSL’s PLM platform represents a bold step toward full digital transformation. They’ve embraced automation, visibility, and data integrity to replace legacy processes with an intelligent, future-proof foundation.”
