Texworld Paris anticipates the participation of 1,300 textile and apparel manufacturers from over 30 countries.

China, Turkey, India, South Korea, and Taiwan are expected to lead the exhibitor list with approximately 600 textile manufacturers, a significant rise from February's count of 465.

Notably, there has been an increase in Hong Kong companies participating with over 20 gathered under a collective pavilion.

Pakistan will present a "Sustainable Pakistan" pavilion highlighting ten socially responsible businesses. Other returning textile suppliers include those from Cambodia, Myanmar, Rwanda, Vietnam, and Egypt.

The event will unveil a fresh 'near sourcing' hub, spotlighting exhibitors from Central and Eastern Europe.

The 'near sourcing' hub is placed at the entrance of one hall, featuring around thirty manufacturers from nations including Serbia, Romania, the Czech Republic, Portugal, Greece, and Italy. Additionally, national pavilions from Armenia and Kyrgyzstan will be present.

Messe Frankfurt France marketing & communication director Julien Schmoll said: “In today’s tense economic climate, this edition reflects the ongoing reshaping of global supply chains. Through regular dialogue with industry players in key fashion cities – Barcelona, London, Milan – we’ve confirmed these sourcing trends. We’re seeing a resurgence of finished apparel offers from countries like China and India, a shift toward near sourcing, a growing demand for product innovation, and diversification of supply. Our role is to connect buyers with the most relevant sourcing solutions.”

The Initiatives zone at Hall 4's entrance will return to showcase innovative solutions by selected exhibitors. This includes live demonstrations by LISAA Mode fashion students who will craft knit and crochet pieces on-site.

Avantex will expand its presence with a larger exhibition space connecting Hall 2 and Hall 3.

NIL Textile presenting a biobased T-shirt made from corn-derived polylactic acid (PLA), T-Fashion showcasing an AI-driven design platform, and the 2024 Avantex Fashion Pitch winner Materra will promote a sustainable cotton farming model.

Furthermore, Avantex will facilitate three days of discussions on the fashion industry's transformation. Topics will range from circularity to natural materials, generative AI technologies, technical skills development, consumer behaviour shifts, and updates on European regulations.

The upcoming edition of the event introduces the Agora, which will serve as the venue for the inaugural Bio Fashion Innovation Day on 17 September. This initiative is organised in collaboration with TCBL, a partner who has previously worked with Avantex for three sessions.

The day's agenda is packed with keynote speeches, panel discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities centred on themes such as local manufacturing, organic materials, and eco-friendly design practices.

The 8th Avantex Fashion Pitch finale is set to be a collaborative effort between IFA Paris, a fashion school, and Texpertise Network, Messe Frankfurt's global consortium of textile trade fairs.

This finale will highlight the most innovative startups that operate at the intersection of fashion, technology, and sustainability.
