TrusTrace launches AI upgrade to boost supply chain transparency

Supply chain traceability platform TrusTrace has introduced an AI-powered enhancement to help fashion brands and manufacturers gather, centralise, and scrutinise supply chain traceability information.

TrusTrace's upgrade is anticipated to resolve issues companies encounter with fragmented, incomplete, and unverifiable supply chain information, which previously left them vulnerable to concealed risks and without substantiation for compliance or the ability to make a significant impact.

The latest version of TrusTrace's platform integrates data from suppliers, owned by brands, and from third parties using sophisticated AI algorithms.

This method is said to markedly improve the trustworthiness of data and the calibre of insights derived from it, permitting companies to make decisions based on comprehensive and authenticated information instead of partial or erroneous data.

Additionally, the platform's data hub promotes the effortless reuse of data, enabling previously stored information to be used for various business objectives, thereby greatly improving operational efficiency.

With this solution, businesses of all sizes can efficiently amass, store, and use credible supply chain data, making traceability, risk management, and compliance more attainable than before.

TrusTrace CEO Shameek Ghosh said: “In today’s high-stakes regulatory and business environment, access to accurate, real-time sustainability data shouldn’t be a privilege – it should be a given.

“We’ve built a powerful, AI-assisted supply chain data hub that allows companies to quickly and easily collect and analyse data at any scale, empowering them to move from reactive crisis management to proactive impact-driven strategies. This is the future of responsible, resilient business.”

What are the key features of the AI-powered TrusTrace supply chain platform?

Simplified data collection and integration: Effortlessly compile, organise, and disseminate supply chain and traceability information in one unified location.

Proactive risk management: Identify concealed risks early on, evaluate their potential consequences, and mitigate them proactively with a constantly updated perspective on actual risks within the entire supply chain.

Streamlined compliance management: Transition from reactive compliance to a scalable framework where existing data is organised and ready for any regulatory or reporting requirements while automatically pinpointing and rectifying deficiencies.

A unified AI-powered supply chain data hub: Enhance decision-making with an integrated perspective of supply chains combining owned data with that from suppliers and third parties.

Scalability for any supply chain: TrusTrace offers a customisable system that can be easily initiated and scaled regardless of whether a company is at the outset of its sustainability journey or overseeing intricate multi-tier supply chains.

Brands and manufacturers have started adopting the upgraded platform, with TrusTrace recently announcing a strategic collaboration with materials science and digital identification solutions company Avery Dennison

This partnership addresses increasing demands for transparency regarding the origins, movement, and effects of raw materials throughout the apparel value chain.

Avery Dennison S Asia, EMEA, and Optica vice president and general manager Kenny Liu said: “By integrating TrusTrace into our Optica portfolio of supply chain solutions, we’re equipping brands with the tools they need to map their supply chains, verify raw material origins, and confidently meet evolving regulatory demands. This level of transparency empowers smarter sourcing decisions and ultimately drives meaningful impact across the entire supply chain.”

Recently, UK fashion brand New Look integrated all of its key suppliers onto the TrusTrace digital platform to strengthen its supply chain transparency and accountability.
