The India expansion aligns with the ZYOD's strategic plan to accommodate the growing needs of global enterprise retailers such as Marks & Spencer, Walmart, and Tesco.

ZYOD co-founder Ritesh Khandelwal said: “This facility marks a critical step in our journey to becoming the preferred manufacturing partner for large-format fashion retailers."

Located at Building 7P in India's state of Haryana, ZYOD's facility is spread across more than 100,000ft2 area and features eco-friendly processes including solar panels, a water treatment plant, and a waste management system.

It also incorporates Internet of Things (IoT) for production monitoring, automated lines for shirt manufacturing, and advanced digital fabric processing technologies.

Khandelwal added: “In just two years, we’ve gone from a startup to a serious player supporting enterprise brands. With 7P, we’re bridging the infrastructure gap for fashion manufacturing in India and unlocking new employment and innovation opportunities.”

The factory aims to elevate precision and efficiency while minimising waste and expediting delivery times.

The plant started partial operations on 15 July. The establishment is the third excellence hub for ZYOD within a span of two years. It is equipped with upwards of 750 advanced machines.

It is compliant with SEDEX standards that ensures the facility adheres to ethical sourcing and fair labour practices.

ZYOD co-founder Ankit Jaipuria said: “Our vision is to build the most reliable, future-ready fashion manufacturing network in India. With 7P, we are building infrastructure not just to scale, but to lead in efficiency and speed. 7P can support the sourcing needs of the world’s leading retailers while upholding ethical and sustainable manufacturing practices. We see this factory as a blueprint for how modern fashion manufacturing in India should operate.”

The operational start of the new facility is anticipated to create over 2,000 jobs in both skilled and semi-skilled capacities.
