Gildan buys Hanesbrands to boost ‘growth’ in basic apparel market
Canadian apparel basics manufacturer Gildan Activewear has acquired US intimate apparel firm Hanesbrands with an expert describing it as a "springboard" for Gildan to sell more of its own products into retailers.
