The open-industry resource is available for all industry professionals and is updated to reflect additions or changes to regulations and laws that restrict or ban certain chemicals in finished products.

“The RSL is an essential resource for professionals tasked with chemical management in the apparel and footwear industry, and we thank the support and contribution of the AAFA members that make up our incredible RSL task force,” says Rick Helfenbein, president and CEO of the American Apparel & Footwear Association.
The RSL was developed by a special working group of the American Apparel & Footwear Association’s (AAFA’s) Environmental Task Force.
It serves as a practical tool to help individuals in textile, apparel and footwear companies, and their suppliers – responsible for environmental compliance throughout the supply chain – to become more aware of various national and international regulations governing the amount of substances that are permitted in finished home textile, apparel, and footwear products.
The 19th edition of the RSL can be downloaded here, with translated versions also available in Vietnamese/Tieng Viet or Mandarin.
