Top five apparel companies in Canada’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 16.95% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Canada’s apparel industry during September 2022 over August 2022.

Amazon posted 243 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a drop of 21.61% over the previous month, followed by Loblaw Companies with 22 jobs and a 29.41% growth. Lululemon Athletica with 14 IT jobs and eBay with 6 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 20% growth, respectively, while Rakuten Group recorded an increase of 100% with 4 job postings during September 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 47.4%, down by 16.46% from August 2022. Entry Level positions with a 39.1% share, registered a decline of 18.12% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 13.49% share, down 26.42% over August 2022.
