US-based company eBay’s IT hiring declined 28.9% in October 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 27.21% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.
IT jobs claimed a 33.16% share in the company’s total hiring activity in October 2022, and recorded a 2.77% decline over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops eBay IT hiring in October 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by eBay, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 93.75% in October 2022, and a 3.23% drop over September 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 3.13% in October 2022, and registered flat growth. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 3.13% in October 2022, a 100% rise from September 2022.
North America drives IT hiring at eBay
North America emerged as the leading region in the global apparel IT hiring activity in October 2022 with an 87.5% share, which marked a 16.67% rise over the previous month.
Europe stood next with 7.81%, registering a 16.67% month-on-month decline. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with a 3.13% share and an 84.62% drop over September 2022.
In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 1.56% and a month-on-month flat growth.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s apparel industry IT hiring activity with a 76.56% share in October 2022, a 16.67% growth over September 2022. Canada featured next with a 10.94% share, up 16.67% over the previous month.
Junior Level jobs lead eBay IT hiring activity in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 50%, down by 28.89% from September 2022. Mid Level positions with a 40.63% share, a growth of 44.44% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 7.81% share, up 25% over September 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.56%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
