France’s apparel industry IT recruitment activity drops 17.4% in August 2022

France’s apparel industry registered a 17.4% drop in IT hiring activity in August 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 8.68% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.

Out of the apparel industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.86% share in August 2022, recording a decrease of 0.43% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in France’s apparel industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s apparel industry in August 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 51.43% in August 2022, registering a 14.29% decline over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 25.71% share, an increase of 63.64% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 20%, registering a 36.36% decline from July 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 1.43%, flat growth over the previous month.

Top five apparel companies in France’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s apparel industry during August 2022 over July 2022.

Veepee posted 28 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a rise of 27.27% over the previous month, followed by Carrefour with 11 jobs and a 38.89% drop. Amazon with 10 IT jobs and SMCP with 6 jobs, recorded a 37.5% decline and a flat growth, respectively, while Chanel recorded an increase of 25% with 5 job postings during August 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 80%, up by 1.82% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 14.29% share, registered a decline of 23.08% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 5.71% share, down 71.43% over July 2022.
