France’s apparel industry registered a 6.3% drop in IT hiring activity in October 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 16.62% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.
Out of the apparel industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.11% share in October 2022, recording an increase of 0.28% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in France’s apparel industry’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s apparel industry in October 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 48.89% in October 2022, registering a 25.71% growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 28.89% share, an increase of 30% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 16.67%, registering a 28.57% decline from September 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 4.44%, up 33.33% over the previous month.
Top five apparel companies in France’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 69.77% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s apparel industry during October 2022 over September 2022.
Carrefour posted 23 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered a rise of 155.56% over the previous month, followed by Veepee with 17 jobs and a 22.73% drop. Amazon with 11 IT jobs and Universal SportsBiz with 11 jobs, recorded a 22.22% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while SMCP recorded an increase of 266.67% with 11 job postings during October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 74.44%, up by 11.67% from September 2022. Entry Level positions with a 16.67% share, registered an increase of 15.38% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with an 8.89% share, down 11.11% over September 2022.
