France’s apparel industry IT recruitment activity drops 8.3% in September 2022

France’s apparel industry registered an 8.3% drop in IT hiring activity in September 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 8.07% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.

Out of the apparel industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.72% share in September 2022, recording a decrease of 0.32% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in France’s apparel industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s apparel industry in September 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 41.03% in September 2022, registering a 13.51% decline over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 25.64% share, an increase of 42.86% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 25.64%, registering a 5.26% rise from August 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 3.85%, up 200% over the previous month.

Top five apparel companies in France’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 13.73% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s apparel industry during September 2022 over August 2022.

Veepee posted 20 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a drop of 28.57% over the previous month, followed by Lacoste with 12 jobs and a flat growth. Les Mousquetaires with 10 IT jobs and Carrefour with 8 jobs, recorded a 900% growth and a 33.33% decrease, respectively, while Amazon recorded a decline of 20% with 8 job postings during September 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 75.64%, up by 3.51% from August 2022. Entry Level positions with a 14.1% share, registered an increase of 120% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 10.26% share, down 20% over August 2022.
