Germany’s apparel industry registered a 21.3% drop in IT hiring activity in November 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 3.79% in November 2022 when compared with October 2022.

Out of the apparel industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.13% share in November 2022, recording a decrease of 0.63% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Germany’s apparel industry’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s apparel industry in November 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 58.76% in November 2022, registering a 51.69% decline over the previous month.

2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed an 18.56% share, a decrease of 14.29% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 11.34%, registering a 54.17% decline from October 2022.

4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 7.22%, down 61.11% over the previous month.

Top five apparel companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 10.38% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s apparel industry during November 2022 over October 2022.

Inter IKEA Holding posted 33 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a rise of 725% over the previous month, followed by Schwarz Unternehmenskommunikation GmbHKG with 28 jobs and a 55.56% growth. Zalando with 26 IT jobs and REWE Group with 6 jobs, recorded a 13.04% growth and an 89.83% decrease, respectively, while eBay recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during November 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 84.54%, down by 36.92% from October 2022. Entry Level positions with a 9.28% share, registered a decline of 50% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 6.19% share, down 84.21% over October 2022.
