Germany’s apparel industry registered a 7.5% drop in IT hiring activity in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 6.73% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.
Out of the apparel industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.22% share in July 2022, recording a decrease of 2.51% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Germany’s apparel industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s apparel industry in July 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 66.34% in July 2022, registering a 43.46% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 14.36% share, a decrease of 19.44% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 11.88%, registering a 14.29% decline from June 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 5.94%, down 70% over the previous month.
Top five apparel companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 42.38% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s apparel industry during July 2022 over June 2022.
Amazon posted 87 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a rise of 10.13% over the previous month, followed by Schwarz Unternehmenskommunikation GmbHKG with 35 jobs and a 45.83% growth. REWE Group with 31 IT jobs and Zalando with 27 jobs, recorded an 81.55% decline and a 43.75% decrease, respectively, while Inter IKEA Holding recorded a flat growth with 9 job postings during July 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 68.32%, down by 44.35% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 17.82% share, registered a decline of 38.98% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 13.86% share, down 22.22% over June 2022.
