The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 11.45% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.
Out of the apparel industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.87% share in September 2022, recording a decrease of 0.4% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 16.96% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s apparel industry during September 2022 over August 2022.
Amazon posted 72 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a drop of 1.37% over the previous month, followed by Zalando with 37 jobs and a 48% growth. Schwarz Unternehmenskommunikation GmbHKG with 15 IT jobs and REWE Group with 11 jobs, recorded a 50% decline and a 74.42% decrease, respectively, while ABOUT YOU Holding recorded a flat growth with 7 job postings during September 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 69.41%, down by 15.11% from August 2022. Entry Level positions with an 18.24% share, registered an increase of 14.81% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 12.35% share, down 47.5% over August 2022.
