Germany’s apparel industry registered a 0.3% rise in IT hiring activity in May 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 6.53% in May 2022 when compared with April 2022.
Out of the apparel industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.83% share in May 2022, recording a decrease of 2.62% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Germany’s apparel industry’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s apparel industry in May 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 67.74% in May 2022, registering a flat growth over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 10.97% share, an increase of 6.25% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 10.97%, registering a 70% rise from April 2022.
4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 5.81%, down 10% over the previous month.
Top five apparel companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 24.58% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s apparel industry during May 2022 over April 2022.
Amazon posted 58 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Zalando with 53 jobs and a 60.61% growth. Schwarz Unternehmenskommunikation GmbHKG with 24 IT jobs and Inter IKEA Holding with 8 jobs, recorded a 4% decline and a 300% growth, respectively, while Lotte recorded a flat growth with 4 job postings during May 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 67.74%, up by 22.09% from April 2022. Mid Level positions with a 16.13% share, registered an increase of 8.7% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 13.55% share, down 34.38% over April 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 2.58%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
