The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 24.6% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.

Top five apparel companies in India’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 75.22% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s apparel industry during August 2022 over July 2022.
adidas posted 58 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a rise of 48.72% over the previous month, followed by Target with 37 jobs and a 33.93% drop. Amazon with 25 IT jobs and NIKE with 11 jobs, recorded a 94.44% decline and an 8.33% decrease, respectively, while Walmart recorded an increase of 100% with 8 job postings during August 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 62.5%, down by 59.92% from July 2022. Entry Level positions with a 21.43% share, registered a decline of 85.43% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 16.07% share, down 68.6% over July 2022.
