Ireland’s apparel industry registered a 5.0% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 0.87% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.
Out of the apparel industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 28.16% share in July 2022, recording an increase of 4.3% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Ireland’s apparel industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Ireland’s apparel industry in July 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 68.97% in July 2022, registering a 29.82% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 13.79% share, an increase of 100% over the previous month.
3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 12.07%, registering a flat growth from June 2022.
4) Computer and Information Research Scientists captured a share of 3.45%, up 100% over the previous month.
Top five apparel companies in Ireland’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Ireland’s apparel industry during July 2022 over June 2022.
Amazon posted 57 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a drop of 6.56% over the previous month, followed by eBay with 1 job and a flat growth. .
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 60.34%, down by 16.67% from June 2022. Entry Level positions with a 22.41% share, registered an increase of 62.5% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 17.24% share, down 16.67% over June 2022.
