Spain’s apparel industry IT recruitment activity drops 13.4% in June 2022

Spain’s apparel industry registered a 13.4% drop in IT hiring activity in June 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 13.48% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.

Out of the apparel industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 19.12% share in June 2022, recording an increase of 1.04% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Spain’s apparel industry’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s apparel industry in June 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 89.36% in June 2022, registering a 43.24% decline over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed an 8.51% share, a flat growth over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 2.13%, registering a 50% decline from May 2022.

Top five apparel companies in Spain’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s apparel industry during June 2022 over May 2022.

Veepee posted 24 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a rise of 71.43% over the previous month, followed by Amazon with 12 jobs and a 74.47% drop. adidas with 7 IT jobs and El Corte Ingles with 4 jobs, recorded a 66.67% decline and a flat growth.

Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 65.96%, down by 39.22% from May 2022. Entry Level positions with a 19.15% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 14.89% share, down 68.18% over May 2022.
