Spain’s apparel industry registered a 32.9% drop in IT hiring activity in November 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 18.6% in November 2022 when compared with October 2022.

Out of the apparel industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 12.93% share in November 2022, recording a decrease of 3.68% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Spain’s apparel industry’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s apparel industry in November 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 66.67% in November 2022, registering a 72.09% decline over the previous month.

2) Computer Support Specialists claimed a 16.67% share, a flat growth over the previous month.

3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 11.11%, registering a flat growth from October 2022.

4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 5.56%, down 66.67% over the previous month.

Top five apparel companies in Spain’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 64.71% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s apparel industry during November 2022 over October 2022.

adidas posted 7 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a drop of 12.5% over the previous month, followed by Inter IKEA Holding with 7 jobs and a 16.67% growth. El Corte Ingles with 2 IT jobs and Amazon with 1 jobs, recorded a 100% growth and a 96.15% decrease, respectively, while Veepee recorded a decline of 90% with 1 job postings during November 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 66.67%, down by 69.23% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 16.67% share, registered a decline of 50% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 11.11% share, down 66.67% over October 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 5.56%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
