Sweden’s apparel industry registered an 8.1% rise in IT hiring activity in September 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 19.06% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.

Out of the apparel industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.22% share in September 2022, recording a decrease of 4.23% over the last three-month average share.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 65.57% in September 2022, registering an 185.71% growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed an 11.48% share, an increase of 16.67% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 9.84%, registering a 20% rise from August 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Sweden’s apparel industry during September 2022 over August 2022.

Inter IKEA Holding posted 26 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a rise of 62.5% over the previous month, followed by H & M Hennes & Mauritz with 18 jobs and a 200% growth. Amazon with 16 IT jobs and Bzt Fashion with 1 jobs, recorded a 220% growth and a flat growth.

Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 67.21%, up by 127.78% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 19.67% share, registered an increase of 100% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 13.11% share, up 100% over August 2022.
